APPIA ANTICA

Our first day exploring the Appia Antica Regional Park. I had no idea but we were actually living in the middle of the Regional Park, which was so cool. On the first day after relaxing and chilling, we were ready to go out and explore the beautiful Italia. I had  always though of Italy, and Rome in particular to be so busy and loud. And while we got to see all that all the other days when we went into the city centre, it was such an amazing experience living in the peace, and quiet and historical area of Appia Antica. On the first day when we arrived, the Guilia from the Appia Antica Resort had told us about the region, its history and all the places to visit along the way.
We walked along an off the road path when we started off to get to Appia Way and it was just so beautiful. The road was filled with cute little cobblestones and some beautiful scenery and nature. It was so lovely to just stroll around and walk along. The Appian Way was the main road that was used for an entry and exit in Rome in the olden days and it was the main route for military supplies as well.
Along the way, we so lots of tombstones and historical sites like Circus of Maxentius, The Basilica of Saint Sebastian, and some other places too! AND omg in the beginning of the walk we had the cutest little grey cat follow us and walk with us for ages. I named him Gatsby ðŸ˜› It was the cutest! And at the Circus of Maximus there was another cute cat that was so adorable too!
After the walk, we had a super delicious hot chocolate, with actual melted chocolate and cream and it was absolutely delicious! Such a beautiful morning in Italy.
