ALTARE DELLA PATRIA

In Rome we also went to Altare della Patria, which is also known as Il Vittoriano. It is a monumental site built in honour of the first king of Italy- Victor Emmanuel. We passed this place the day before on the way to the Colosseum and we all really wanted to go and visit this place. It looked so grand and beautiful at night.My grandparents even came along with us and I think they really enjoyed it too.

Across the road in the Piazza, there was the most beautiful Christmas Tree. There were so many people gathered around it and we took lots of photos there. It was a Christmas Tree that i had never seen before. It was so nice!
